My first build in 1996. Bought as a rolling chassis with 50 boxes of parts and 10 months of head scratching — a father-and-son project. Over the years I’ve carried out 2½ frame-off restorations on Sandy, eventually finding the system I’m proud of. Twenty-something years as my daily driver. This is the build that got me hooked.SOLD

The Story
Where it all began.
My first build in 1996. Bought as a rolling chassis. Fifty boxes of parts and ten months of head scratching — this father-and-son project and we were done.
Over the years I have carried out 2½ frame-off restorations on Sandy. Repeating steps and experimenting with new tactics and products, I found my system eventually — the one I’m proud of.
Twenty-something years of Sandy being my daily driver, I’m proud of my work. Phew… and this got me hooked and ready for the next and the next.
